UPWARD CORPORATE PROGRAMS

CORPORATE UPWARD ACADEMY

HIPOWER

THE GOAL

Hipower invites a small group of demonstrated leaders inside a corporation to form a “ring” each year with the goal of building community together and a platform to drive change. Our premise is that a twelve-month commitment builds trust and the capacity to explore new boundaries as each participant answers the question “What do you want to be known for?”

Hipower creates a network inside of a corporation of leaders who are laser-focused on accelerating the goals and ambitions of the women in their network. As executive women we use our platforms to drive the change we want to see in our society. We push each other, showcase each other's platforms, and use hard work and creativity to realize our visions. PEER ADVISORY EXECUTIVE FORUMS

THE GOAL

In a corporate setting, it can be isolating at the top. The UPWARD Peer Advisory Executive Forum is committed to changing that by inviting accomplished female executives within a company to participate in a peer advisory setting designed to promote strategic decision making and critical thinking that as a result drives better business performance. This program creates a safe and confidential space, with a non-compete environment, built to provide authentic support, deliver clarity, and drive more significant impact.

THE BENEFITS

The UPWARD Peer Advisory Executive Forum tackles the unique issues head-on that a corporation is facing amongst women executives. This program encourages participants to ask tough questions, get beneath problems, and explore real answers – all within a supportive environment that is committed to honesty, trust, and transparency. UPWARD Peer Advisory Executive Forum unites the powerhouse female executives inside of a corporation and asks them to solve real-time challenges. Our structured, experiential learning process is designed to sharpen strategic decision-making skills, build confidence and expertise, foster authentic peer relationships, and give executive women actionable next steps to improve business performance.

Allies-in-Action

THE GOAL

The Allies-In-Action program exists to build the vital link of gender equity to leadership.These ally groups help guide men on how they can partner with their female colleagues to advance women’s leadership and equality by breaking ingrained gender stereotypes and overcoming unconscious biases, developing and supporting the talented women around them, and grating productive and respectful working relationships.

THE BENEFITS

In fact, the top quartile of diverse companies are 33% more likely to outperform on EBIT margin with inclusive workplaces outperforming S&P 500 stock performance by four times. UPWARD is committed to helping male leaders become mentors, sponsors, and allies for the advancement of women, while driving organizational performance. This program establishes a pathway inside your organization for executive men to be a part in the solution by providing them with the tools required to build productive, respectful, and equal relationships. The Allies-In-Action program is facilitated by UPWARD Men Chapter Leaders, over the course of 8 weeks in a virtual meeting environment and provides a community of mentors ready to guide male leaders to becoming successful allies to women

BOARD LEADERSHIP

THE GOAL

The UPWARD Board Leadership program is committed to achieving gender parity in the boardroom by providing professional and executive women with the strategic tools, resources, knowledge, and opportunities to be effective board members and pursue a board seat.

THE BENEFITS

UPWARD is a community of executive women passionate about personal development, career advancement, and community leadership. The Board Leadership Program provides an opportunity for members to increase their knowledge of board governance, strengthen their leadership skills, and enhance their community trusteeship with a certification program, and then guides them to demonstrate their new knowledge by engaging in nonprofit board service.

UPWARD LEADERSHIP

THE GOAL

The UPWARD Leadership Program supports the development of women within an organization by providing mentorship and programming opportunities to further advance, retain, and promote female executive talent in the workplace.

THE BENEFIT

UPWARD provides educational programming for any level to support the advancement of women and break barriers. Customized program topics and workshops are created based on a company’s goals to support the development of its women leaders. Programming can be level-specific or offered to a broader group. In addition, to create a workplace environment that supports the retention and promotion of women, mentorship programming is vital to building a supportive community and aid in professional growth. UPWARD facilitates appropriate mentorship programs where women will build rapport, accountability, community, and support as they navigate their careers within an organization. UPWARD leadership creates allies for the advancement of women by increasing awareness and building a sustainable framework for advocates, mentors, and sponsors, to champion for women in the company.

UPWARD INSIDE

THE GOAL

UPWARD inside exists to build UPWARD-like communities dedicated to furthering the development, retention, and advancement of women within organizations. UPWARD Inside can support already established Employee Resource Groups (ERG) or provide external support for organizations without ERGs. UPWARD Inside intentionally develops programming to support women’s advancement, employee satisfaction and engagement, and overall retention of women for companies both big and small.

THE BENEFITS

UPWARD Inside establishes or supports existing networking communities of executive women within organizations in order to cultivate an environment in the workplace that employs diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, and as a result, builds an internal pipeline for advancement. UPWARD Inside offers customized programs based on the organization's needs and can provide support through leadership development, mentorship, sponsorship, and allyship, with the goal of creating accountability, solidarity, and leveraging the company’s community of women to drive change.

 

UNIVERSITY PATERNSHIPS

THE GOAL

Build relationships, trust, and rapport with students to attract them and provide career opportunities after graduation.

THE BENEFITS

Brand affinity for corporations, builds a community, and enables an early investment in the training, recruitment, and development of students. UPWARD, Intel, and Santa Clara University created a year-long virtual program for STEM students for professional development, career navigation, and opportunities to be mentored by Intel engineers.
